Container Gardening: A Fun
and Sustainable Hobby
Container gardening is one of my favorite pastimes,
especially during the summer. Not only is it a relaxing
activity, but it's also a simple way for me to manage
waste by transforming discarded materials into planters!
Here’s a glimpse of my current
garden produce:
🌱 Pechay, lettuce, tomatoes, garlic, radish,
and bell peppers—each thriving in their makeshift containers!
As you can see below, I’ve creatively repurposed
items like used bags, soft drink bottles, sacks,
paper cups, and even old helmets to serve as plant pots.
And for something a bit different, the plant featured
in the video isn’t a veggie—it’s a bougainvillea!
I’ve planted it in a repurposed rice cooker
and created a video to show how I propagate
these beautiful ornamental plants.
